Authorities are seeking the whereabouts of an armed and dangerous suspect wanted for murder and robbery.
On Friday, August 30, 2019, at around 10:00 a.m. deputies assigned to the Apple Valley Police Department investigated a strong-arm robbery and suspicious circumstances in the 20000 block of Wisconsin Street in the Town of Apple Valley. The 76-year-old victim said that the suspect, Phillip Williamson, 37, confronted him at his home and forced him to give him a handgun and cash. “The victim advised deputies that the suspect told him to look inside the vehicle he was driving, a white Hyundai, as there was a deceased female inside,” Sheriff’s officials said. “The victim believed there was a body partially hidden inside the vehicle. The suspect then fled the location in the Hyundai.”
Deputies responded to Williamson’s home in the 19100 block of Yucca Street in the City of Hesperia and found evidence of a struggle at the location. A search warrant was obtained for the home and an arrest warrant was issued for the arrest of Williamson. Homicide investigators responded to assist with the investigation.
The white Hyundai was located abandoned in a dirt field near Wisconsin Street in the Town of Apple Valley. Brandi Jones, 35, was found deceased inside of the car. The investigation revealed that the suspect was known to both victims before the incidents. Williamson remains outstanding and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately call 911.
No additional information is being released at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Specialized Investigations Division, Detective James Tebbetts at (909)387-3589. Callers can remain anonymous and contact WeTip at 800-78-CRIME or www.wetip.com.
