Barstow Man Arrested for Burglarizing the Barstow Entrepreneur Center

BARSTOW – A 23-year-old Barstow man was arrested after burglarizing the Entrepreneur Center (EC Barstow) officials said.

Barstow Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of West Main Street for the report of a burglary at around 5:58 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. When the officer arrived he began investigating the burglary and was provided with surveillance footage. The footage captured on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at around 9:00 a.m. showed the suspect enter the unsecured front door of the business. The male suspect was seen stealing several items from inside the non-profit business then exiting through the front door. The officer searched the area for the suspect but was unable to locate the suspect.

On Thursday, July 12, 2018, at around 11:30 a.m. a detective followed up on the investigation and made contact with the victim. The victim reported that there was a second burglary by the same suspect at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018. The detective viewed the surveillance footage, where the suspect was seen again entering through the front door taking several items and fleeing in an unknown direction.

At around 11:55 a.m. on Thursday the detective searched the area in the 1300 block of Santa Fe Drive near the business location. The detective located a male subject, identified as Kolton Montana Waller who matched the description of the suspect seen burglarizing the business on the surveillance footage. Waller was wearing the same clothing items as the suspect involved in the burglaries.

Waller led the detective to some of the stolen property, which was stored at a nearby home. The detective retrieved the property, which was returned to the victim. Waller was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Burglary.
