BARSTOW – A 24-year-old Barstow man was arrested for exposing his genitals and masturbating in front of multiple women. On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at around 10:54 p.m. two females reported that a man was exposing himself to them in the 1600 block of East Main Street. The suspect allegedly walked closer to the victims but they ran into a nearby business to call the police. The reporting party described the suspect as a black man with a white shirt and red pants. While on the phone, the suspect began to walk away from the area, walking eastbound on Main Street.
At around 10:57 p.m. dispatchers received additional calls reporting that the same suspect was masturbating underneath the I-40 overpass at East Main Street. Officers arrived and conducted an area check. The male subject was located at Montara and Armory Road. The suspect was identified as Aaron Williams. As the Sergeant talked with Williams, a Walmart manager approached them and mentioned receiving complaints from customers in Walmart that he was walking around the store exposing himself and masturbating. Williams denied the allegations and fled northbound on Montara Road on foot from the location. Two officers caught up with Williams and apprehended him without further incident.
The women who reported the incident inside Walmart were interviewed by deputies. They told them that Williams approached them inside the store, exposed himself, and began masturbating in front of them. All of the victims positively identified Williams as the person reportedly exposing himself and masturbating in front of them. Williams was learned to be on parole for a previous sexual offense. Williams was booked into jail for Indecent Exposure, Resisting Arrest and a Parole Violation.
