HESPERIA, Ca. – Authorities are attempting to connect any additional robberies or thefts to a recently-arrested energy drink thief.
A Hesperia station deputy noticed a vehicle he believed belonged to a suspect who had three felony arrest warrants on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, just after 6:30 a.m. The vehicle was in the 14700 block of Eucalyptus in the City of Hesperia. The white Kia Optima, with no plates, and a missing gas cover was stopped and the deputy made contact with the occupant Kendale Rafael Hicks, 28, of Barstow.
Hicks was accused of multiple thefts of energy drinks from Victorville, Hesperia, and Barstow locations since 2017. Hicks was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Robbery and Retail Theft. He will be arraigned on Thursday at the Victorville Superior Court.
