Barstow Man Arrested for Molesting Several Foster Children

Man Tossed From Vehicle & Struck by Big Rig After Driver Attempts to Pass on Shoulder

BARSTOW, Calif. – A 23-year-old man was arrested for the sexual assault of a 24-year-old female employee inside of a business on Saturday.

At around 1:34 p.m. police responded to the 500 block of E. Virginia Way for the report of a sexual assault at the business. The employee said that while she was helping other customers, she felt someone grab her buttocks. She turned around and saw a heavyset white man laughing as he left the store. The woman provided the suspect’s description and his clothing description.

Officers found a male subject who matched the suspect description near the Food 4 Less gas station. The subject identified as Dayton Kuhnsantunez, was detained. The victim positively identified Kuhnsantunez as the suspect. The business surveillance also captured the incident.

Kuhnsantunez was booked at the Barstow Police Department for Sexual Battery.
