Barstow Murder Suspect Turns Himself into Sheriff’s Station

BARSTOW, Calif. – Murder suspect, Michael DeShown Morris, 30, of Las Vegas, Nevada, is in custody for the murder of a Barstow man


On Friday, June 21, 2019, at around 9:45 p.m., Wendell Holmes, of Barstow was shot by Morris and after being rushed to the hospital he was pronounced deceased. It was determined through witness statements and surveillance footage that Morris was responsible for the shooting. Detectives also learned that Morris and Holmes has an ongoing dispute.

On Monday, June 24, 2019, at around 3:17 p.m., Morris turned himself in to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Central Station in the City of San Bernardino.
