VICTORVILLE – A male bicycle rider sustained major injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on Highway 395 near Dos Palmas Tuesday morning.
At around 10:15 a.m. deputies from the Victorville Station and emergency medical personnel responded to the collision. Upon arrival, they located the male bicyclist on the ground suffering from major injuries “from head to toe” per scanner traffic. An air ambulance was requested to transport the injured bicyclist to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for the treatment of his injuries.
The 2004 Cadillac remained at the scene and the female driver was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries. Victorville Sheriff Stations spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that the incident remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
