BIG BEAR CITY, Ca. – A 41-year-old Big Bear City man was arrested for the murder of his two roomates, officials said.
On Monday, December 2, 2019, just after 1:20 p.m., dispatchers received a 911 call from Ralph Meneses reporting that he was attacked by his two roommates, Cynthia Kilough, 66, and Jeffrey Tiner, 35. Meneses said that he had shot both of his roommates during the incident. Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the home in the 500 block of West Sherwood Avenue in Big Bear City and found Kilough in front of the home suffering from gunshot wounds. She was rushed to the hospital where she died as a result of the shooting.
Tiner was found inside the home and was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel. Meneses had puncture wounds but did not require hospitalization. Through investigation it was learned that the three roommates were involved in an argument. The argument escalated to a physical assault and Meneses shooting and killing his roommates. Meneses’ wounds were determined to be self-inflicted.
