LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. – A 36-year-old male boater went missing on Sunday after jumping from his boat in an attempt to swim to shore.
Kern County Sheriff’s officials said that deputies responded to the area for the report of the missing boater in the area of the French Gulf Marina at Lake Isabella. Deputies and Lake Patrol searched extensively for the boater. Search and Rescue was called to the scene but the loss of light at the end of the day, halted the efforts of the search crews.
