SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – A San Bernardino mother was arrested for child endangerment after her son found a firearm and shot his brother on Monday.
Police said that the children were home alone in the 900 block of East Central Avenue. Just before 7:30 p.m. a 12-year-old boy got a hold of an unsecured firearm and accidentally shot and killed his brother.
The firearm was determined to belong to the mother of the children. One of the children called 911 to get help for the injured boy who was rushed to the hospital. The child died as a result of his injuries.
Gabriela Keeton, 45, was arrested as a result of the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Reyna (909)384-5638 or Sergeant Flores at (909)384-5659.
