The victim and his parents reported that 23-year-old Sean Lee of Fullerton sexually assaulted the 16-year-old minor at the camp. The allegations sparked an investigation by the Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children Detail (CACD).

Detectives learned that Lee worked as a counselor during the summer months of 2015, which is when the victim attended camp during June of 2015. Through interviews with those who attended or worked at the camp, detectives gathered information sufficient to obtain an arrest warrant for Sean Lee. The warrant for oral copulation of a minor and sodomy of an unconscious victim was obtained on December 30, 2016.

Lee surrendered to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Chino Hills Station on January 1, 2017 at around 10:40 a.m. Lee was booked at the West Valley Detention Center and was held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Lee was released on bail at around 9:08 p.m. on January 1st. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said that they are releasing the booking photo in the event other camp staff or attendees witnessed Lee engaged in unlawful behavior.
