ADELANTO – Deputies from the Victor Valley Station and emergency medical personnel responded to Columbia Middle School for the report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Wednesday evening. When they arrived in the 14400 block of Aster Road in the City of Adelanto they located a 16-year-old boy from Adelanto who was suffering from major head injuries.
The reporting party told dispatchers that the boy later identified as Trent Scott, an Adelanto High School student, was still awake and breathing, but bleeding profusely from his head. Scott was
transported to Loma Linda University where he died as a result of his injuries. Authorities learned that Scott was walking on the sidewalk when a vehicle traveling north on Aster Road struck him. The collision remains under the investigation of the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
