BARSTOW – A 25-year-old City of Bell resident was arrested for burglarizing the Barstow Robertson’s Ready Mix officials said.
On Monday, June 25, 2018, at around 9:03 a.m., Barstow Police received a report that a burglary had occurred at the location at 2820 East Main Street. The caller told dispatchers that his business was broken into and several items had been stolen. When officers arrived they were unable to access the secured property but learned that an alarm was activated that evening. The suspect gained entry into the business with a hidden key on the property. Additional keys were located inside the business and the suspect gained access to the security system power. Although he attempted to conceal his identity by accessing the security system, he was still captured on surveillance.
At 11:51 a.m. a male subject matching the suspect description was located walking westbound in the 2400 block of East Main Street. The suspect, later identified as Jonathon Lopez, was found to be in possession of items linking him to the burglary and was found to have an Outstanding Arrest warrant. He was placed under arrest and booked into jail for burglary.
