COLTON – A woman frantically called 911 reporting that her mother stabbed her and two of her children at their Colton home on Monday morning. At around 9:10 a.m. the woman reported the incident that occurred inside an apartment in the 1400 block of San Antonio Drive. Authorities said that the grandmother, mother, and children all lived in the same apartment home.
The mother, covered in blood ran for help while herself, suffering stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel rushed into the home where they found an approximately18-month-old girl dead as a result of the stabbing. The other child, also a female of unknown age was rushed to the hospital along with her mother. Authorities said that the two are listed in critical condition.
At this time, there is no information as to what led up to the stabbing. The suspect, Nicole Clark (also known as Nicole Darrington-Clark), 42, remains at large and believed to be driving a black 2013 Hyundai Sonata California License Plate 7TQL009. Clark is described by nearby residents as suffering from mental illness. She is described as a Black woman. 5’9″, 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
At around 5:13 p.m. a woman was reported to throwing gas on the buildings at the Sherwood Villa Apartments located at 14900 Arlette Drive in the City of Victorville. The description of the female suspect and suspect vehicle matched the description of Nicole Clark. The license plate was reported as being the same as her vehicle plates.
The black Hyundai reportedly went westbound on Hook Boulevard. The sheriff’s helicopter searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect or suspect vehicle. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Bachman said that there was a fire, possibly Arson and that no suspect is in custody as a result of the incident at this time.
