APPLE VALLEY – The community is invited to honor the memory of two longtime Apple Valley residents at the Apple Valley Golf Course at 3:00 p.m. on November 22, 2016. The Apple Valley Country Club and Golf Course is located at 15200 Rancherias Road.
A memorial bench will be dedicated in memory of 95-year-old Louis Giuntini and 92-year-old Rose Giuntini, who were also longtime members of the Apple Valley Country Club. Many recall the couple strolling along the ninth hole in the evening before going into the clubhouse where the socialized with friends.
On February 28, 2016, after over 70 years of marriage, the couple was murdered during a home invasion robbery at their home in the 19900 block of Outer Highway 18 in the Town of Apple Valley. The couple left behind their three daughters, Phylliss, Cheryl, and Christie. They also left behind seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family, knowing the Giuntinis love for the golf course, contributed funds to install a bench and to make improvements by the ninth hold they were so fond of walking by. The dedication is open to the public, if any additional information is needed you can contact Assistant Town Manager Marc Puckett at (760)240-7000 extension 7704.
