OAK HILLS – Authorities issued animal cruelty citations for alleged bird-fighting in the 8800 block of Aster Road in Oak Hills. On Thursday, November 10, 2016, at around 11:24 a.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station deputies responded to the report of a loud boom and flames coming from a home.

On Thursday, November 10, 2016, at around 11:24 a.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station deputies responded to the Oak Hills location in reference to reports of a loud boom and flames coming from a home.

When they arrived, they located roosters, all housed in separate cages. The Rural Crimes Task Force was called to the scene to conduct an investigation. The investigation revealed evidence consistent with bird fighting. Felix Sapalicio, 61, and Raul Sapalicio, 57, both of Oak Hills were cited to appear in court at a later date.
