FONTANA – An irate woman went on a rampage at a home in the 9300 block Alder Avenue in the City of Fontana on Sunday morning.
Alma Briseno, a 36-year-old Fontana woman, went to the home that was occupied by her estranged husband at approximately 8:30 a.m. and began breaking things at the home. Briseno, according to authorities, brought the couple’s 11-year-old son with her. The victim (her estranged husband) saw the woman outside angry and in order to avoid confrontation refused to open the door.
Briseno vandalized the victim’s vehicle, scratching his paint and puncturing three tires. She then broke a front window of the home and had their son climb through to unlock the door for her. The victim grabbed his son and retreated to the bedroom to lock themselves in. She continued to climb through the window, grabbed a 10” kitchen knife, and used it to stab the bedroom door several times creating a hole. She reached into the hole to unlock the door. The victim ran outside to avoid a possible attack, but Briseno followed with the knife.
The two struggled over the knife until deputies arrived and ordered them to drop the knife. Both were detained, and Alma Briseno was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for assault with deadly weapon.
