APPLE VALLEY– A man is arrested on suspicion of setting his estranged wife’s vehicle on fire.
On Wednesday, April 19th, 2017, at around 8:21 a.m., a deputy from the Apple Valley station was dispatched to a burned vehicle on the 15000 Block of Blackfoot Road.
The victim stated to deputies that she believed that her estranged husband had something to do with her vehicle being set on fire. An investigator from the Arson & Bomb Detail arrived on the scene to assist in the investigation. While the investigation was still conducting the victim’s estranged husband, identified as 57-year-old, Mark Brown of Apple Valley arrived at the crime scene.
Investigators asked if he would come back to the Apple Valley Station to speak with them regarding the incident. Brown agreed to be interviewed at the Apple Valley Station. At the end of the interview, Brown was taken into custody and transported to the High Desert Detention Center. He was booked for arson awaiting a court date.
