LENWOOD – A 39-year-old Lenwood man was arrested after deputies located evidence identifying him as the suspect inside of a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was located on Wednesday morning at around 4:15 a.m. The vehicle was unoccupied in the parking lot of Jasper Community Park located at 25473 Jasper Road in Lenwood.
Upon further investigation, the deputy from the Barstow station learned that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the City of Victorville. Evidence led the deputy to identify Jose Gabriel Lara as the suspect of the vehicle theft.
Lara was located at a nearby home and subsequently booked into the Barstow jail for vehicle theft and receiving known stolen property. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
