LONG BEACH – Having a great backside is all the rage in Hollywood in recent years, but is it to die for? A 36-year-old Long Beach woman took the risk of allowing a massage therapist to perform an illegal buttocks enhancement on her, which ultimately led to her death.
On February 12, 2014, massage therapist Sandra Yaneth Pérez-González aka Sandra Yaneth Slaughter, 48, of Long Beach performed the work on the victim at the Areli’s Beauty Salon in Long Beach. The defendant, who is not a licensed doctor, allegedly advertised numerous cosmetic procedures including buttocks and lip enhancements and “vampire” facelifts prosecutors said. Hamilet Suarez went in for the buttocks enhancement but collapsed at the salon. Despite CPR being administered by responding medics Suarez later died at the hospital.
Perez is being charged with murder and if convicted as charged she will face up to life in prison.
