PHELAN – San Bernardino County Fire and Cal Fire firefighters responded to the report of a house fire on the 14000 block of Paramount Road in Phelan on Friday afternoon. The fire was reported at around 12:52 p.m. with initial reports indicating that there was a fast-spreading vegetation fire behind a home. While firefighters were enroute, the report changed to a residential structure fire.
Upon arrival the firefighter located the double-wide mobile home with flames and smoke coming from the roof of the home. Firefighters did a primary search of the home to find that there were no occupants inside the home. The fire was under control within 40 minutes of the firefighter’s arrival, officials said.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. San Bernardino County Fire Spokesman Dan Nelson told a 24/7 Headline News reporter that two adults and three children were displaced as a result of the fire.
A County Fire Investigator is at the scene to determine the cause of the fire. The Red Cross was called to assist the displaced family.
