SAN BERNARDINO – A fire caused damage to an abandoned San Bernardino home on Sunday morning. At around 10:00 am the San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to the report of a structure fire in the 200 block of East Dumas. When they arrived the found the boarded up home with smoke showing from all sides. The firefighters attacked the fire performing vertical ventilation on the roof to clear the smoke,
The fire was knocked down within around 10 minutes of the firefighter’s arrival. Although no one was inside of the home at the time of the fire, firefighters discovered evidence in the home showing squatters were living in the home. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
