FONTANA – A Fontana man was arrested for stabbing a man and woman during an altercation on Wednesday. Fontana Police said that on Wednesday morning at around 4:40 a.m. they responded to a stabbing in the 15300 block of Palm Leaf Lane. When they arrived they found a father and his adult daughter, suffering from stab wounds to their upper torsos.
Through investigation, officers learned that the father and daughter were staying with the suspect, Neilaris Castro, 45, when he began arguing with the woman. Her father stepped in, angering Castro, leading to him stabbing both victims, then leaving the scene. The man was transported to the hospital as a result of the stab wounds, the woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Castro returned to his home and was arrested at around 10:00 a.m. He is currently being interviewed by Fontana detectives.
