FONTANA, Calif. – A suspect who authorities believe may attend parties to prey on highly intoxicated woman to sexually assault them is behind bars.
On Saturday, August 3, 2019, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault after a female victim was dropped off at a Fontana gas station by the suspect. Through investigation it was learned that 21-year-old Jorge Silva Calderon, of Fontana, took the victim home after leaving a Bloomington party. The woman was very intoxicated and lost consciousness at the time. Calderon sexually assaulted the victim then dropped her off at the gas station.
An arrest warrant was issued and Calderon was arrested at the Mountain Crest Apartments, located at 8888 Citrus Avenue in the City of Fontana on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at around 4:00 p.m. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center for Rape by Force or Fear and Rape of a Drugged Victim.
“Calderon is known to attend parties regularly and it’s believed he preys on intoxicated women at these parties,” Fontana Police said in the news release. “We believe there could be additional victims who had previous contacts with Calderon.”
