FONTANA, CA. – An armed suspect wanted for a fight that led to a shooting on Tuesday evening, police said.
At around 5:25 p.m. Fontana Police officers responded to Jack Bulik Park, located at 16581 Filbert Street in the City of Fontana. The reporting party stated that there were people fighting and gunshots had been fired. Officers arrived shortly after and they learned that several people were involved in a physical altercation. Based on the evidence gathered, police believe that the suspects were known to one and other.
One of the suspects, a heavy-set man brandished a handgun and fired one round toward the subjects involved. An adult female was struck by the gunfire and sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a hospital before being released. Leads were developed and three of the four suspects were arrested. The suspects were identified as Michelle Pacheco, 36, Jocelyn Castro, 25, and Robert Castro, 19, for various charges.
Authorities said that the subject that brandished and fired the firearm is still outstanding and the investigation is still ongoing. Detectives are attempting to locate the outstanding suspect and he is described as a heavy set Hispanic Male Adult 5’8″, 240 pounds, wearing black pants and a black shirt.
