FONTANA, Calif. – A 41-year-old coach for the Fontana Unified School District was arrested for the possible sexual abuse of a child.
Elbert Houston was arrested on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at around 5:00 p.m. at his home on the 6000 block of Lost Horse Drive in the City of Fontana. Houston was arrested as a result of an investigation into the possible sexual misconduct with a minor. Houston coached for the school district since 2015 and also lists his occupation on social media as a home daycare provider.
He was arrested for the continuous sex abuse of a child, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, sexual penetration with a foreign object with child under 16, and oral copulation with a person under 18. He is at the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court on Monday, May 6, 2019.
