VICTORVILLE – Closures will continue causing detours and/or traffic delays to motorists on the I-15 in the City of Victorville, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) officials said.
The upcoming roadwork makes the closure of the Stoddard Wells Road Bridge and both directions of the I-15 between Bell Mountain Road and Stoddard Wells Road necessary. The closure is part of the $71 million project to reconstruct the interchange at Stoddard Wells, D Street, and E Streets and for the widening of the Mojave River Bridge.
The closures will be made in order to accommodate the bridge demolition and will be overnight from Thursday, October 26th to Friday, October 27th. All of the Southbound I-15 lanes will be closed from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. at Bell Mountain Road to Stoddard Wells Road. Motorists should exit Stoddard Wells/Bell Mountain Road and drive west to arrive at the I-15.
On Thursday, October 26th at 10:00 p.m. to Friday, October 27th at 7:00 a.m. all but one of the northbound lanes will be closed from Stoddard Wells Road to Bell Mountain Road. Motorists will have access to enter and exit the freeway from the northbound lanes at all times. The project is scheduled to be complete by early in 2019.
