BARSTOW, Ca. -A Hemet woman was arrested in the City of Barstow for vehicle theft on Wednesday evening.
At around 5:00 p.m. Barstow Police were notified that a stolen Chrysler 300 was spotted in the 2800 block of Lenwood Road. Officers began searching the vehicle, which was at the gas pump at an Arco AMPM on Lenwood Road. The detectives watched the vehicle while a woman, later identified as 34-year-old Sabrina Marks got into the stolen vehicle and drove away. Officers followed and conducted a traffic stop near an El Pollo Loco in the area where Marks was arrested without incident.
Marks was learned to be on probation for possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was learned to be stolen from Murrieta, California.
Marks was booked into jail for vehicle theft.
