Hesperia Drive-By Shooting Leaves One Injured

HESPERIA – A man sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds as a result of a Friday evening drive-by shooting officials said. At around 7:30 p.m. deputies from the Hesperia station responded to the report of a  drive-by shooting on I and Danbury Avenues at the Circle K.

The male victim suffered two through and through gunshot wounds to his left shoulder and was transported by ground ambulance to a trauma center for treatment of his injuries.

The involved vehicle was reported to be a dark-colored Toyota SUV and a partial license plate number was reported to dispatchers. Roads were closed temporarily at I Avenue at Bangor Street and Danbury Avenue and on Danbury at Kingston Avenues while deputies determined the exact crime scene location. All closures were reopened just before 8:30 p.m.

Several vehicles were stopped, but the suspect or suspects remain at large at this time. Anyone with any information pertinent to this incident is asked to contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
