Hesperia Man Arrested for Kidnapping His Children

HESPERIA – A man was arrested after kidnapping his children and taking them to his home refusing to let them out when deputies arrived. At around 2:43 p.m. the children and their mother were at Timberlane Park in the City of Hesperia. Phillip Williamson, 35, of Hesperia drove up, pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim, and stated that he was taking his children. He put the kids in his vehicle and fled the area.

Deputies checked the area of the home where the victim and Williamson reside and saw that his vehicle was at the home. Williamson refused to come out of the home or comply with other deputy commands. The San Bernardino County Specialized Enforcement Division was requested to assist with negotiations and Williamson eventually exited the home. He was taken into custody and his children were located uninjured inside the home. Williamson was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for numerous charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm.
