HIGHLAND – The suspect who robbed a Highland Arco on Sunday remains at large and authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify him.
At around 11:50 p.m. deputies from the Highland station responded to a call reporting an armed robbery at the gas station in the 27700 block of Baseline Street in the City of Highland. Witnesses said that the suspect entered the store and appeared to be selecting items for purchase. When he got to the front counter, he brandished a black metal rod at the cashier and demanded case.
He then grabbed the cash from the register and fled the business on foot. The cashier said that the suspect was a Hispanic man in his early-30’s who had an untidy appearance. The man had a thin build and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, gray sweater, and black sweatpants.
