Highland Transient Wanted for Attempted Murder After Beating Woman in Head and Face

HIGHLAND – A Highland area transient is wanted after beating a female victim on Thursday evening authorities said.

At around 5:56 p.m. deputies from the Highland station responded to the 7000 block of Victoria Avenue after a witness called 911 to report an assault in progress. The caller told dispatchers that the man, later identified as Danny Ray Guzman was beating a woman in the face and head. Guzman fled the scene prior to deputy arrival. Paramedics arrived to treat the victim for head injuries.

Guzman, a parolee was identified by several witnesses. Guzman is Hispanic, 5’04”, approximately 116 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
