HESPERIA – A 57-year-old Hesperia woman lost her life as a result of a CA-395 crash on Wednesday afternoon.
At around 12:54 p.m. deputies from the Hesperia Station and emergency personnel responded to the collision south of Main Street on CA-395. When they arrived they located to mangled sedans that collided head-on in the southbound lane. Marylou Hernandez was found unresponsive in a 1988 Honda Accord and was confirmed deceased at 1:10 p.m.
MaryLou, a Shell Gas Station employee was heading northbound on her way to work on the corner of CA-395 and Bear Valley Road.
The second vehicle was driving southbound at the time of the collision. The driver of the second sedan, a male was transported to the hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries authorities said.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
