VICTORVILLE – The body of middle-age Hispanic man remains covered in the roadway in the 13800 block of Victoria Drive in Victorville late Sunday morning.
On Sunday, February 19, 2017, at around 1:11 a.m. deputies from the Victorville Station responded to shots fired and a man down. When they arrived they located the man lying on the road just feet from a home suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was determined to be dead on arrival.
Neighbors reported that prior to the shooting there was a verbal altercation and that they believed that a white late model work truck with racks on both sides that belongs to someone who lives nearby was involved in the shooting.
The San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Special Investigation Division Homicide Detail responded to the scene and remain there as of late Sunday morning. The investigation is ongoing, no other information is available for release at this time.
