HIGHLAND – Six suspects were arrested for vandalizing multiple vehicles in Highland, and Redlands on Saturday night. At around 11:30 p.m. deputies from the Highland Station responded to the report of several males in an early model red van vandalizing vehicles in the 29300 block of Richardson Court.
“Witnesses observed male passengers in the van throwing large river rocks at several parked vehicles,” Sheriff’s officials said. “Damage to the parked vehicles included broken windows and significant paint and body damage.” The witnesses provided information regarding the suspect vehicle.
During the investigation, the deputy investigating the vandalism received information that a van matching the description of the suspect vehicle was near Seine Avenue and Messina Street. At 11:50 p.m. deputies located the suspect vehicle in the 7200 block of La Praix Street.
A total of eight vehicles were found to be vandalized in East Highland and an additional five in the City of Redlands.Through evidence collected, deputies were able to link the same six suspects to all of the vandalized vehicles. The damage to the vehicles is estimated at approximately $10,000.
Johnathan Ramirez, 18, Francisco Ruiz, 19, Anthony Torres, 19, and three 17-year-old juveniles were all arrested.
