APPLE VALLEY, Ca. – Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a 48-year-old Apple Valley man.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at around 6:42 a.m. deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to the report of a man down in the area of Dale Evans Parkway, east of the I-15 freeway. The black Toyota Avalon was nearby parked on the shoulder with a deceased man inside the vehicle. Evidence in the area led authorities to determine that the victim, identified as John Barreras was murdered by an unknown suspect.
