MORENO VALLEY – An Assault with a Deadly Weapon call turned into a double homicide in Moreno Valley on Thursday night. At around 9:20 p.m. officers with the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to the reported of the assault with a deadly weapon in the 27000 block of Auburn Lane and arrived to find two men dead on the street.
Detectives from the Moreno Valley Police Department and the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene to assume the investigation. The names of the deceased have not yet been released so that family can first be notified. The investigation is ongoing and authorities indicate that there are no threats to the public.
