JURUPA VALLEY – Authorities located a marijuana cultivation operation while responding to smoke in the area of Mission Boulevard and Valley Way in the City of Jurupa Valley Saturday.
At around 8:30 a.m. officers searched for the source of the smoke and located a structure fire in the 6900 block of Pearl Street. Two occupants were evacuated by the first responding officers and the fire quickly spread due to the high winds.

A search warrant that was requested, and served, leading to the arrest of Guillermo Romero, a 46-year-old Jurupa Valley man. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the marijuana cultivation.
This investigation is on-going, and the Jurupa Valley Police Department requests that anyone with additional information contact Deputy R. Carrasco at 951-955-2600.
