BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Human remains located near Lake Buena Vista Lake on July 28. 2018, that apparently washed up on shore have been determined to belong to a woman.
The leg was collected by Kern County Sheriff’s Coroner and at this time the identity has not been determined, The leg does not belong to missing Baylee Despot, who has been missing since May 2018. The remains were submitted to CODIS, the National DNA Index System. Kern County Sheriff’s office will be seeking the identity of the remains through all resources available to them.
