LAKE ELSINORE – A 38-year-old Lake Elsinore is behind bars after stabbing another Lake Elsinore man on Monday evening. At around 7:40 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of Buena Vista Street and Grand Avenue in the Lakeland Village area regarding an assault.
When deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene they located a 35-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his arm. Suspect, Chris Smith was located walking eastbound on Buena Vista Street and he was detained without incident. The victim was transported to the hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Smith was booked into the Southwest Detention Center for attempted murder.
