Lions Club Free Vision Screening and Eyeglass Event

CHINO – The Chino Valley Lions Club is sponsoring a free vision screening and free recycled eye glasses on Saturday, August 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m (may close earlier depending on attendance). Lions Club representatives urge those in need to get there early because this will be first come, first served.

All ages are welcome to attend and receive services absolutely free with no insurance or ID required. The event will take place at the City of Chino Community Building located at 5443 B Street.

“This vision screening is not meant to replace a comprehensive eye examination and refraction that you obtain through your eye doctors office,” the news release said. “The vision screening is designed to assess for ocular health concerns and provide a useable pair of recycled eyeglasses until you can obtain the professional services and ophthalmic materials on your own.”

Collections of used eyeglasses and hearing aids will be done during the event. Anyone needing additional information can contact Mike Preston at 909-573-3600 leave msg. or Email: mpreston7@verizon.net Lions website: www.chinovalleylions.org
