LOMA LINDA – The Hometown Buffet in Loma Linda was robbed and the suspect remains at large, San Bernardino County Sheriff officials said. On Friday evening at around 6:15 p.m. a man described as a 40-50-year-old, 5’5” tall, 200-pound Hispanic man who was wearing a brown jacket entered the restaurant on the 24000 block of Redlands Boulevard.
The man calmly waiting in the line and approached the unsuspecting cashier. He handed her a note and opened his coat to expose a handgun. The cashier handed over the cash from the register and the man walked out the front door and west across the parking lot.
Deputies responded to the restaurant but were unable to locate the suspect.
