RANCHO MIRAGE – A 48-year-old Long Beach man was arrested for multiple commercial burglaries authorities said. The first burglary, which was still under investigation took place on December 2, 2016. Deputies from the Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) responded to the 69-900 block of Highway 111, in Rancho Mirage to investigate the commercial burglary. The investigation led authorities to the stolen property, which was returned to the rightful owner. They also learned that Jose Flores was the suspect involved in the burglary and began seeking his whereabouts.
On Friday, April 7, 2017, Rancho Mirage Police responded to the report of a burglary at the same business at around 6:30 a.m. The Burglary Suppression Unit again responded to investigation and they again learned that Flores was the involved suspect. Flores was located near Clinton Street and Fred Waring Drive in the City of Indio. The stolen property was located and recovered, with the property stolen in both burglaries totaling an approximate $20,000 value.
