LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. – A 31-year-old Lucerne Valley man was arrested for vehicle burglary and the possession of stolen property, officials said. Caesar Garcia almost got away with the crime before returning to the same property to steal additional items.
On Monday, June 3, 2019, at around 11:40 a.m., deputies responded to the 11500 block of Lincoln Road in Lucerne Valley for the report of a vehicle burglary. The 19-year-old male victim told deputies that his vehicle was parked in front of his home when someone smashed out the back window and took his belongings. A police report was taken but no arrests were made.
The victim called 911 again later in the day stating that he had detained the suspect when he returned to his home. Deputies arrived and arrested Garcia without incident. He was found in possession of items which were stolen from the victim.
