APPLE VALLEY – A male motorcycle rider was airlifted after being involved in a collision with a pickup truck on CA-18 near Pahute in the Town of Apple Valley on Thursday night.
At around 8:45 p.m. deputies from the Apple Valley Station and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene of the collision. When they arrived they found a male motorcyclist lying injured in the road. The male subject was reported to be alert and breathing. The truck was overturned onto its side, with the driver suffering no obvious injuries.
The motorcyclist was transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was then airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the collision remains under investigation at this time. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
