YUCAIPA – A 37-year-old Beaumont man was arrested after arranging to meet a decoy that he believed was a 14-year-old boy for sex acts.

Yucaipa detectives who utilize a decoy social media account were contacted by Camilo Ruiz. Ruiz chatted with the decoy, thinking that it was a 14-year-old boy. Within around an hour, Ruiz sent nude photos of himself and arranged to meet at a Yucaipa park for sex acts. Ruiz drove to the agreed upon location where detectives were waiting. He was booked into the Central Detention Center for Sending Harmful Matter to a Minor, Arranging to Meet a Minor for Sexual Acts, and Meeting a Minor for Sexual Act. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Authorities believe that Ruiz may have met with teen boys to engage in sexual acts in the past.
