APPLE VALLEY – A 37-year-old man was arrested after attempting to drive around a road closure at Deep Creek and Rock Spring Roads on Wednesday.
At around 11:30 p.m. the suspect, identified as San Bernardino resident, Mario Lopez attempted a stolen black Cadillac around the road closure.
Lopez was also determined to have an active no bail warrant for a probation violation, officials said in the Thursday news release. He was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for the possession of the stolen property and the warrant.
He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled for an arraignment hearing Friday afternoon at the Victorville Superior Court.
