Man Arrested for Pimping Runaway San Bernardino County Girl

A 30-year-old Hacienda Heights man was arrested for sex trafficking a 17-year-old San Bernardino County runaway authorities said. The investigation began on June 8, 2017, when the San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) began surveillance of the teen victim who was posted on “backpage.com” offering prostitution services.

Authorities learned that Howard Gee Hau Yuan was involved in the sex trafficking (pimping) of the victim.Yuan was located and arrested in the City of Brea on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Property which belonged to the teen victim was located inside his vehicle. The teen was interviewed, then safely returned to her parents. Yuan was booked into the West Vallley Detention Center for felony Human Trafficking as well as other related charges. He is being held in lieu of $750,000.  

This investigation is ongoing and Investigators believe there are other unidentified victims related to this case.
