Man Arrested for Carrying Weapons on Sixth Street Prep Campus

VICTORVILLE – For the second time in only two weeks a suspect was arrested for having a weapon on the school grounds at Sixth Street Prep Elementary School in the City of Victorville.

On September 14, 2016, just before 10:45 a.m., Daniel Flury, 25 of Victorville was located walking across the front of the school campus located at 15478 Sixth Street with a sheath attached to his waistband, which contained a large fixed-blade knife, officials said.

A deputy from the Victorville station made contact with Flury and conducted a search finding a second knife concealed in a front pant pocket, a hypodermic needle and a glass pipe in another pocket. Flury was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention center for the possession of a weapon on school grounds and for the possession of drug paraphernalia.

Flury was cited and released at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening with no court appearances scheduled at this time.
