GRAND TERRACE – Residents in the 12800 block of Mirado Avenue in the City of Grand Terrace were evacuated on Thursday afternoon after shots were fired in the area.
At around 4:40 p.m. deputies responded and found that a man was determined to be inside the home, armed and firing a weapon. SWAT responded to the scene and the public was urged to stay out of the area. At around 6:20 p.m. a deputy involved shooting occurred, and a suspect was struck by gunfire. The suspect was transported to the hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
Investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division will be responding to conduct the investigation.Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
